RLTP has offered job readiness training and supervised placement in subsidized summer internships for over 550 high school youth. This program has been monitored by Rochester Works with funding provided through TANF grants.

Youth apply in the spring and participate in a series of job training seminars as well as several one on one interviews, provided jointly by the city of Rochester and Rochesterworks. Once accepted those who select RLTP's Green Team for summer employment interview with RLTP staff to assess their skills and interests. Youth attend an orientation before the program officially begins. At the orientation they recieve their internship placement. For the next six weeks, the youth work 4 days a week for up to 5.5. hours per day. On Fridays they attend an enrichment program provided by RLTP staff. Guest speakers offer information on a variety of topics from career oppportunities to financial literacy. The importance of staying in school is reinforced on a regular basis.

At the end of six weeks, the youth enjoy a graduation ceremony. There they recieve certificates of completion, awards for those who were outstanding employees, and a book bag with school supplies for the new school year.
